Some Deck Work / Barrette Deco Panels

Some deck rehab work
using the new Barrette plastic
Deco Panels. These add a unique modern and different look as opposed to using the old
Chamfered balustrade pickets. You can also see more of the pool instead of a closed in look with balustrades.

We picked these up at Lowes, cut 2×2  lumber and inserted into a custom 1/4" wide and 3/4" deep routed channel, similar to inserting
a floating cabinet door panel. The trick to cutting these is to keep your table fence rigid and don't move it between cut setups, just like ripping 2.25 cabinet stiles/rails.

The nice thing is these can be removed for winter storage as they are suspended on a key hook hardware mount (Canadian Tire Hardware).

Last Open at the Abbey , DJ Prevails !

Well, for those of you that grew up going to Glen Abbey with our Dads and friends, today is the last hurrah for the course that the Golden Bear
Built. Apparently, he was so disgusted by the announcement to use the land to build  more
McMansions, he refused to appear at the event.

The golf was excellent, the course was in excellent shape, and I know many fans who are sickened by this poor shortsighted decision to sell out to the almighty developer dollar.

The RCGA will regret this decision for the next 100 years. A sad day for Canadian golf fans for sure.

Strip and Refinish

Homeowner tried to use that Polyshades 2 in 1, which never really comes out that great, hence the call to us to strip and refinish by using a dedicated stain and separate clear finish to control color depth and final finish build.

Heirloom to the rescue, some lacquer thinner
and good old fashioned elbow grease !

Original raised panel
double ogee Barzotti
cabinetry, still in excellent
shape 17 yrs later !

Doors stripped and profile
sanded using our Thoroughsand
techniques ;)

Final pics once complete will
be posted.
